What is your Transportation Story

In 2009, you helped youMove Massachusetts statewide find out about the transportation challenges you face every day (learn more about the themes that evolved from our workshops across the state). As part of weMove Massachusetts (WMM, the second part of this initiative), we heard in more detail about your transportation experiences and needs.
Perhaps you use public transportation to avoid paying high parking fees in downtown Boston, or to avoid the expense of owning a second car in Pittsfield. Or perhaps you travel by car each day on a congested road in the Worcester area. Maybe you find yourself relying on others more as you get a little older and driving becomes more of a burden, or as a source of freedom because you are still too young to drive yourself. Whatever your story, we thank you for sharing it with us so we can learn more about how our transportation resources are being used.

MassDOT will release a report early in 2013 on the weMove Massachusetts outreach and results.  The report will introduce a new way to prioritize transportation investments across all modes: highway, transit, and pedestrian.  Using the goals and input we received from our customers, combined with national standards for safety, mobility, maintenance, and operation, the WMM approach permits MassDOT, its customers, elected officials, and the media to consider a range of priorities for upgrading transportation across the Commonwealth. Visit this site again soon to read the report and learn about alternatives for investing in our future.

MassDOT recently released a report on the weMove Massachusetts outreach results. Read the report here.
